At 16+ years, a 12V battery ought to be quite close to death, with essentially no margin for cold weather. Most 12Vs are replaced at well under half that age.
SIGH. That won't last long. GET A NEW BATTERY. The next time it fails, there might be a big truck bearing down on you. Edit: I see you have one ordered. Make sure that you charge it according to the instructions BEFORE you put it in the car. It appears that it will come with post adapters......but NOT new cables.
From what I read on their it should have everything needed to swap it out don’t need new cables for it
Yep - looks like you have everything you need to get it switched over - good luck - curious as to what kind of mileage you get when it is that cold - reminds me of my days in North Dakota when my MG would not start from November to May - Why not Minot?
I usually get around 36-37 mpg all winter about the only thing I don’t like about the car is u can’t idle it once warm and it dose not heat very well when just going on short trips if I go 30 miles or more it will cook you out of it it gets so warm but anything under that it just gets warm enough to defrost the windows
That is better than I would expect - my mileage drops to 38 or 39 here in northern California when we get below 40 - thanks for the response
My brother had an MG-B for a while......and it spent more time dead than alive. Weather didn't seem to be a factor.
