A thousand or two perhaps? Maybe three?
The reservations for an S are $2500, so $2.5-$7.5 million of their reserves are probably for the Model S.

Edit---- double those, I was thinking U.S. only.
    So perhaps $5-$15 Million.

Maybe they'll do both . . . . build sedans AND the hatch. It wouldn't be the 1st car to give that a whirl. Back in the day we had both the Honda Accord & the Hatchback. On the theme of refunding deposits ... we're torn for a different reason. Watching how fast prices drop "off the lot" ... it's tempting to pull our deposit(s) and just wait it out ... get one used. We've been on the X list for about 1½ years now. We could probably get a used X-P90D for the cost of the 70kWh / less expensive but new model. Oh well ... if the $$ were sitting in the bank, it'd only be getting what - 0.01% interest anyway?

exactly. go for it!:p i would put in a reservation, it's not the money, i just don't see the point. i'll take a long look at the bolt, the 150 mile leaf if and when, and tesla when the time comes. the great thing about the pip is, it covers all the bases, so i can afford to wait and be choosey.
