Help: Need Photos of Gen5 Prius 12volt

Dimensions for the group sizes are standard. Just look them up on the Internet. Gen 2 Prius uses JIS B20 and JIS B24 as pictured above, and Gen 3 Prius uses JIS B24. Gen 4 and Gen 5 Priuses use BCI 140R/DIN H4/EN LN1 (equivalent group sizes).

 

No, GS Yuasa Y6 EN LN1 is a 50-Ah battery with the model no. Y6-355LN1 and 400 CCA. Gen 4/Gen 5 Prius battery is a 45-Ah battery with the model no. 345LN1-MF and with 295 CCA (Gen 4) and 285 CCA (Gen 5).

 

The model no. is 345LN1-MF. The battery is not custom made but available for general sale. F and P1 are label codes. However, the F label on the Gen 4 battery is custom made for Toyota.

And the P1 label on the Gen5 battery is................ ?????????????

 

GS Yuasa's model code, maybe? Same pattern as 'Y6'. Not found anything by searching. Everything else on there is capacity/size specs.

 

P1 is only a code that identifies the label so that the correct label can easily be attached at the factory. Different countries may have different labels in different languages etc. for the same battery. Also, the labels could be different for different OEMs for the same battery with the same model no., hence a different label code.

Y6 is not a label code. It is a model line. It goes as a prefix in the model nos. of the Y6 line such as Y6-355LN1. Note that 355 is the performance rank, a larger number indicating a higher capacity and CCA. The Prius battery has a performance rank of 345, being lower than that for the Y6 line.
