Mine (Miller Toyota) shows none. I think the Toyota distributors are purposely keeping their dealers in the dark. Toyota should have gradually rolled out the Prime across the US instead of "releasing" it country-wide with no stock to back it up.
I guess I should have said regional office & distributors. I think the distributor are privately owned (Gulf States & Southeast Toyota). Here is an official quote: With our ten regional offices and two private distributors across the U.S., we’ve strengthened and localized our operations so that we can make decisions closer to our customers and respond faster than ever before. I have seen the Prime sitting on the lot of Toyota of Orange near where I live. I have seen it in that Blue color, red, white and I think a dark gray. You may want to check with them. They seem to carry a lot of them. I also have seen a lot of them being driven around by buyers.
I finally gave up on my local order when my contact at the dealership quit responding to my bi monthly inquiry into the status of my order. Luckily I am only a a 6 hour drive to San Diego and obtained my grey with black interior Advanced model from San Diego Toyota. I located it on cars/com and until I called on Friday, they were unaware it was in their inventory. They held it for me until Saturday and when they brought it around, it was still sporting the packing protectors. They were more helpful and knowledgeable than I expected and the process went relatively well overall. No negotiating the MSRP at all but we tried anyway. They told me that they had already sold a blue Prime to a woman in Saint Louis that flew in (they picked her up from the airport) and she drove her car home. I notices a few minutes ago that they have now listed a blue one which was not there on Sunday. If you go this route, ask for Omar. I was impressed at his knowledge and interest in this car given it's 800 page manual. It was his second Prime delivery. On a side note, I send another email to the local dealer to ask them to cancel my order on Sunday and have yet to hear back. Perhaps a vacation to sunny San Diego may be the way to go.
TO UPDATE: I did rec. a check back for Canceled Tracker option. So that was fair. Never heard from Cash Back Fl address, so obviously they don't care about customers!
For those of us in the same local area as you, wold you let us know which dealer this was via post or PM? Things have loosened a little bit since this thread was created.
Dumb question, what is Tracker for exactly? I was told by my dealer it's installed and required, was charged $189 for it. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
