Has anyone noticed a difference in fuel economy after installing the window visors? It looks like it would create a small amount of aero drag, but is it noticeable on your mpg?

I see a "significant" difference in yours and the oem jdms. your second and third pictures illustrate this point. The jdm ones are very flush and don't stick out as much. At the socal prius meet, I was able to inspect multiple window visors. And the true jdm ones were the nicest. Of course, I'm also tempted by price. so do you have a link for your jdm replicas. Or are you using the hics?

Yr right the Toyota Japan ones sit slightly more flush but the design is very similar, but price difference is huge.

Was wondering dont the Toyota dealers sell these? Here in UK they do but they are clear and not tinted.

These are the ones I bought, eBay item number 350559586454.

Well, the visors I ordered came in. Unfortunately, they were not the ones in the photo... they were the style that aportades has, which were my second choice anyway.
I contacted the seller who apologized for the misrepresentation and refunded me 20%. I'll take it.

Too cold to put em on today, hopefully, it warms up a bit tomorrow.

got them in not the best quality but for the price im satisfied. It seems like the do a poor job cutting out the visors as my rear visors are wider then the fronts, but the overall design is still fine. I can complain for $40.

    That seems pretty bad quality.

Never seen that style before until recently and not really that keen on it, why does it go inward on both the front and back visors?

i think they look fine, do you see any point to having those indentations towards the rear of the front one and the front of the rear ones other than visual appearance? i might just go with the stock looking ones to avoid adding more lines to the side of the car since that 3rd option is eliminated for now.

It's also worth noting that the image in the ebay auction is a Civic with Mugen visors.

OEM ones are held on by 3M tape anyways. The only difference is a small clip that will probably break if you fart on it.

The biggest difference between OEM and the ebay ones is the clarity of the plastic.
OEM plastic is almost transparent, but the ebay ones aren't as clear. Again, considering the cost difference between the two, I can't justify the legit ones.

I think the biggest difference is not the clarity but the thickness of the visors. Look at BigPete's #2 and #3 pictures. they stick out a lot. The jdm ones are very flush and don't stick out as much. At the socal prius meet, I was able to inspect multiple window visors. And the true jdm ones were the nicest. Of course, they cost an arm and a leg. :(

it's too hard to dry the back, and clean the window under the one that don't stick out very far. I've have the HIC ones for nearly 43 years now, and haven't had an issue with them.

A couple of things have been said but I like the visors because 1. I can park my car and crack the windows open and feel more secure about not having someone coming by and possibly breaking in/tossing something inside my car, 2. If there's rain I can crack my windows open without risking water flying into my face, 3. It just looks better. Hah.

They do not make this style for the Prius.. Not that I know of.. If u see this pic being used for the Prius u will get the ones that have the indents in the center where the two visors meet..
