Has anyone received a CA Green HOV Sticker yet?

My dealer did all of the paperwork. Received my plates yesterday along with a copy of the HOV application. I'm guessing that my stickers will arrive this week.

I called DMV's Director Office and complaint about the problem back on 4/30. They said they will look into but I never heard from them again. I took my case on their facebook and got a call from DMV the next day.

So hopefully my case will clear up next week....

 

Wow, the sense of entitlement on this board is what's actually outrageous.

Btw, you know, the reason there are high call volumes is because of people like you. Here's an idea: instead of overloading a system that other people actually need to use, why don't you go outside and smell the roses instead, and just wait patiently for your sticker to come in. You know, like most other people.

Actually I was refering to the Clean Air Vehicle Decal Certificate, the certificate that you are suppose to keep with you to show to a Peace Officer upon demand. In the sixth bulletted paragraph it says, "...however, <b>carpool lane use may be restricted and repealed at any by state and federal law for all Clean Air Vehicles<b>..." I think they intended that text to be in bold type; by enclosing the type with <b>, but something went wrong. I did see the error you noted on the placement instruction sheet that shows the front bumper decal being on the left front bumper, but the instructions tell you to place it on the right side of the bumper -- they must mean on the right side of the bumper when looking at the bumper from the front. Another error is that the instruction sheet says to put the decals on with the State Seal in the up position. The State Seal is on the underside of the decal, and that would mean you have to put the decals on upside down.


Another question, why do cars with White decals, don't need a decal on the front bumper? Do they only get three decals, or do they get an extra one?

 

I got pulled over in Long Beach along 405N without my 2013 sticker but my car was registered. I was still given a ticket to correct the violation.

I didn't have to pay a fine but had to pay a transaction fee of $25.

 

When he isn't busy answering the phone for people calling to ask if he processed their paper work yet.

 

Plates arrived today. Sent out my application & check today as well. If I remember right, it takes roughly 3-4 weeks to get the stickers. It did with the yellow ones on my HCH2.

 

We'll see how long things take. I sent my check on 5/6. It cleared on 5/14. So that's about a week. We'll see how long it takes for the stickers to get here.

I'm pretty surprised that it only took them a week to cash in.

Of course, the state IS about $17 BILLION in the hole right now, so I suppose my $8 contribution is a small help.

 

Does a 2010 Plug In Prius (with the charging port at the left front side instead of the right rear side) qualify for a green HOV sticker? On the ARB website I only see the 2012 Plug in Prius listed.

 

I overnighted ($18) mine because I had copied my license info wrong in an earlier mail (same day). I called DMV 5 days after my purchase to see when my plates were going out. They never heard of me. My paperwork was still at the dealer (maybe they wait until they can bulk mail to save some money). The dealer said he could 'expedite' getting my plates and registration. He got my registration and plate number (they are sending the plates) same day!!

 

I mailed my application on Wednesday, 5/2, and I got my stickers (#888) yesterday 5/13. I still don't have plates, but the DMV clerk at the dealer got me a photocopy of my registration that has the plate number.

 

My dealership not only didn't do the paperwork, but just told me they are about a week behind in sending in DMV registrations. So mine won't even go out for another week. And they said they don't know how anyone could get plate numbers back sooner than 2-3 weeks.

Lame.

 

I just saw a regular Gen III Prius on the I=10 HOV El Monte Busway with green stickers. There was no charge door on the right side, so I doubt it was a Plug In. There were no plates on it.

 

Maybe one of the early test cars with the charge point in the left front fender?

 

Ours came in today. Pleasantly surprised actually as just mailed the paperwork in 10 days ago.

 

also, easiest way to spot a plugin is the silver highlight on the rear hatch, rather than looking for the door

 

Little harder to spot the trim piece on the silver cars, I noticed.

 

YAY!!! Got my greenies today!!! Eleven days after the day I mailed my application, and one day after Golden 1 recorded the $8 check as cashed! Thank you, DMV!!!
