Tapped into the solar lead to power an all-in-one MPPT solar charger, BMS & LiFePO4 battery w/built in 12vdc to 120vac pure sine wave inverter. There's a 12vdc audio amplifier hooked up to it in the trunk so the amp doesn't run off the prius electrical system. Power leads are long enough to pull the LiFePO4 unit out for tailgating parties. The all in one can be disconnected and bring indoors to provide 120vac electricity when PG&E executes their agenda.

Just completed another installation following Michael's cheapo-buck-converter approach.

Tomorrow I will be receiving a high voltage boost converter... My installation to charge the 12v battery has been working really well... now I am exploring to use 15mA charge with this converter to mantain the hybrid battery. I am planning to add a relay NC with ignition, so that it only charges it when the car is not turned on.

I am wary of these fakes.
    There is no galvanic isolation.
Connecting to a high-voltage battery can lead to a powerful bang.

Now, I need to test it to ensure negative output is isolated.. I don't want to mix low and high voltage negatives..
