Got hit today

    How will this affect your premiums? Insurance is a necessary evil and filing a claim usually doesn't go unpunished.

    When my 2005 Prius was totaled the other party was 100% at fault. Their insurance paid for a rental care and cut me a check. My insurance never got involved.

    My insurance company will get reimbursed by the other insurance company down the road. I will get my deductible back and the 20% of the rental car I paid for.

    Picked up my car from the body shop today. Looked great! The actual body work had been done for a couple days, they were just waiting for a replacement wheel to come in, and then a wheel alignment. I laughed because the bumper actually matches the color of the rest of the car now than it did from the factory.

    I found it interesting that I was charged $12.00 by the insurance company for the amount of use I got out of the tire before it was destroyed. Can you believe that? Is that petty or what?

    I drove the car 2 miles up the street to the dealer where I had traded it in 13 days ago. They had actually forgot that I hadn't given them the car yet. I thought that was kinda funny. It was already on their website for sale.
