Google Maps Scavenger Hunt

It's obviously a high-end club or resort (or brothel - those guest cottages or whatever they are look too utilitarian to be true guest cottages) - helipad, extra long parking stalls for the stretch limos (two of which sit at the grand entrance) - but the Playboy Club Las Vegas it ain't, and that's the only Playboy Club in action these days. Is that a statue of Donald Trump in the center of the courtyard? Hmmmm.

Previously I was searching for memorials due to all of what look like statues.
Looks like a snow patch on the ground so must be some elevation.There appear to be propane tanks?
Why make a temporary structure so ornate?

I imagine that's a famous building on that corner, but I don't know what it is - not yet.

It's an abandoned airstrip, which made it ideal for a movie production company's "location" shoot, although it ranks among the largest "sets" ever fabricated for a film. In the movie there's no hint of an airstrip, either in the plot or in the background scenery, and that lack of a hint is a hint.

Meanwhile, back in Manhattan, The Dakota Apartment building is the building on the corner, and in addition to joining the "Architecture" category list also joins the "Incidents" category list as another assassination site, where John Lennon was shot.

Hmmm - place is empty as the nearby hangar where more filming for the same movie was shot.

This'll give it away but I used to ride my bike on this location for exercise until the movie company fenced it off to build their set. And I never saw Keanu Reeves, although he may have seen me.

Its surrounded by thousands of other diamonds and precious stones .Theyre exposed to the elements ,at the top of the spire in the satellite image.
