But not if you face into the hurricane and open your mouth.
    Otherwise, you are on

Sorry, couldn't get a Google Maps satellite image.

    NEW IMAGE:
Some people would expect this area to be in California, because of what happens here.
The correct answer is 'where this is' and 'what happens here.'
Of course confirming links would be nice.

It's the New Madrid Seismic Area, Missouri, a place where severe earthquakes shook everybody up in 1811 and 1812, and will experience another "big one" at some indeterminate time in the future. Anybody taking bets which fault will pop first - the San Andreas or the New Madrid?

I've had a couple of chances already, but if no one else is going...

This place is worth more than it looks like.

Not a steeple, though it is an unusually shaped building, and some could be said to worship here.

I have no idea, but here're some thoughts:

The small employee parking lot and softball field indicate a small business in terms of headcount, but perhaps international prominence in its market cap. & annual revenue. The right side looks made up to receive visitors (landscaped nicely, more decorative architectural features, borders one of the ponds, and the lot on that side has buses in a parking lot that looks like it's reserved for buses, since they're the only thing in it). The employees' parking lot and entrance is at the less glamorous back of the complex on the left. Big or small, it's famous, in some circles anyway.

But all of that could be true of a thousand small enterprises on the planet (especially in the the worth more than it looks dept).- I think we need a liitle more help.

I am thinking it must be something like one of the secure printers for the Euro and/or a storage vault. The building to the south is interesting too. However, my searches have yet to yield the answer.

What about that " * " like thing on the ground to the East of the main structure b/w it and the parking lot? I tried to see if maybe E-Trade had a building like that (it's similar in appearance to their logo), but came up empty.

Just a caution, and I don't know if it's the case here, but using Google Earth images in a Googlemaps game can lead to problems if the Googlemaps resolution is poorer than the same area in Google Earth. Not all of us are prepared to search BOTH Google Earth and Googlemaps trying to track these things down. I mention this because a possible candidate building in Ithaca NY is impossible to verify in Googlemaps because the resolution makes all of Ithaca look like a bad accident in a stew kitchen rather than a city.

FWIW, Ithica is a big smudge on Google Earth as well.

More clues? Well, some of the guesses are right on the money. The 'headcount' is both small and large, in a cryptic-puzzle-clue manner of speaking. It is popular with visitors, but the prominence is more international than is known in most circles.

I'm under the impression the Ithica images are of the highest quality Google provides.
I was told by a Navy buddy who was from the area that as far as he was concerned, Ithica was a smudge on what would otherwise be a very beautiful area . . . especially considering all the beautiful waterfalls.

Any chance our current image is of a high end sports car or racing team factory?

I'm sure that's where Carl Showalter buried the suitcase in the snow with $920,000 in it before driving off with $80,000 to his (unexpected) appointment with the wood chipper (Fargo), but which road and which fence out there in the wilderness of the Dakotas is still a matter of guesswork.

I'd never heard of this place before visiting it, but I'm sure some world traveler will recognize it. In this picture it is still under construction but it is finished now.

Ok, I'm ready for a clue. Looks like a Asian temple/castle, but I don't have any idea where to start looking.
