<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(airportkid @ Jun 17 2007, 07:16 PM) </div> OK OK I'll take another hit on this one but to be fair I wasn't asking for identification of the location but rather what was happening at the location of my former home. BTW it's the Forbidden City and was the Chinese Imperial palace from the mid-Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. It is located in the middle of Beijing, China. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&...p;z=15&om=1 Wildkow p.s. still thinking of one brb. OK since its take a shot at Kow day this one ain't going to be easy. Here it is; we've all been here, haven't we? [attachmentid=9007]
I knew that was a bit too easy, but I was hoping it would lure some of the 'watchers' into the game. Instead I get kow  . Actually, I appreciate the added info Kow, that whole Chinese dynasties thing is a big blank in my historical knowledge (which is a pretty big blank to start with)...I just have a hard time keeping all the various historical events in perspective with one another.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Wildkow @ Jun 18 2007, 11:28 AM) </div> Lemme guess, the local greasy spoon by your house? I have no idea, it's so generic. Anybody see any clues?
I'm sure it's the original IHOP or Waffle House ("... spoil your breakfast ...") ("... we've all been there ...") - Kow's clues are giveaways. But I don't have time to Google up the address and pin it down on the maps, so someone else can do the deed. Besides, I might be wrong and it's Kow's NEW backyard MB
How about a real hint? Hot-cold? It's not exactly a recognizable landmark. Maybe we should institute another rule: 5 posts after a new image without a correct answer warrants a better hint. Meanwhile, look at http://googlesightseeing.com/ for a sight that's all about finding interesting/unique things on google maps. They've started finding funny narratives in the street view already!
Why all those white vehicles in the parking lot? Couldnt " doesn't spoil your breakfast" mean that its something grotesque.

Ok...I have been lurking and I actually found one that I know...apparently my brain has taken a vacation and I can't for the life of me figure out A) how to post as a link and B) how to post a new picture. Normally I am good about figuring this out but I am having issues
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(s.e.tx_parrothead @ Jun 18 2007, 07:33 PM) </div> To post a link find the image on google maps. Just above the image and to the right there's a link that says "link to this picture" I right click that then select "copy link location"...The CTRL-V in the message are of the post. Be sure to say the name/location as well. To post a picture is a little trickier. What I do is use Google Earth since you can us the File drop down, and Save picture from there. I then use a program like photoshop to crop out the coordinates and any other excess stuff. Save that then upload as a file (see the browse/add as attachment at the bottom of the reply window?). Others use the 'print screen" button on the google maps page then crop out the image with a photoshop like program...upload the same way. I think we should give you a pass on this one and say that you get credit for the answer while you figure out how to post the link and new image.

So much for the free pass for s.e.tx. This one's too easy for me since I'd previously searched it so I'll pass.
