Getting ready to replace the Spark Plugs

    You can use the same hose to start the thread and then finish with the socket

    Exactly. The question to @Bay Stater was re: using the magnet fishing tool to remove them. It doesn't work as well for installing.

    A kosher spark plug socket with rubber insert is what I like. Tip: tape the extension to socket joint, just in case; it can grip too good, pull off the extension when you try to pull it off.

    What about spark plug wires? What is the expected life span?

    There aren't really traditional spark plug wires, with individual coils. Take a look and you'll see what's going on.

    It's been awhile, but I used the magnetic extending rod to lower them back in. Removed the rod. Lowered the socket with extender to position the plugs to the threads and hand tighten them in. Then connected the ratchet to the socket extender to finish up.(y)
