GenIII Prius Custom PIDs for Torque app

    I found the folder ".torque" but can not find ".torque/extendedpids" on my phone. I put show hidden folders. Any Ideas? Using the paid version of Torque.

    Create extendedpids folder in .torque folder then.

    I uninstalled the app then re-installed the app, and it now has that folder and it works.

    when i try the custom pid like the traction control or cooling fan speed, i can't test it because the pid is too long. Who can help me?

    You can rename them in the app or do it in the text (csv) file before loading it into the phone.

    thanks, but the problem is with the "ModeAndPID" i think, because it is not 6 figures but 7. the message is also about 3 bit or 6 hax characters.

    Reverse Beep Enable RB Ena 3BAC00
    Reverse Beep Disable RB Dis 3BAC40
    Disable Traction Control TRAC Dis 30610040
    Set Battery Cooling Fan Speed 0 (Off) SFS0 30810600

    The current version of Torque only supports 3 bytes (6 hex chars). It used to be 4 bytes. I recall posting a fix on Torque forum more than a year ago. I guess it has not been done yet.

    Please post and add more request. It should help.

    First of all I would like to thank usbseawolf2000, vincent1449p, Adrian Black, Paja, frenchie, and all those who contributed over the years with valuable information - you all did a fantastic work, guys!

    In my case I just started using PIDs but unfortunately the ones which interest me the most are not displayed. The short story is that I recently bought a cloned ELM327 v2.1 based tool and torque PRO as well but I’m unable to see all battery packs voltages nor internal resistances – from an unknown reason I’m only able to see the V01, V02, R01, R02, R03 values and the remaining (V03-V14 & R04-R14) with zero. I am currently using the latest Google doc csv version - the one from 13-Jul-14 (Change log sheet)
    Normally I would blame the ELM but from what I saw Toyota upgraded last year my ECU firmware – could this may have caused a deprecation of related PID’s fields that I do not see?
    - accordantly to the HV’s ECU reprogramming report there were four different code pieces of interest let’s say:
    I see that 896B34703300 (before upgrade) went to 896B34703800 AND the other three versions remained the same (896B54701000, 898844701400 and 898844702300).
    - firmware release date appears to be 17.12.2013
    The other ECU reprogramming report that I have is related to MG system type so I’ll leave this out as doesn’t seem to be related to my main subject.

    Has been a while since someone asked about hybrid related PIDs so this makes me wonder if might be a general issue at this date (2015).
    Could several users kindly check and confirm that battery pack voltage, resistance and temperature values are still ECU seen?
    If they are all displayed correctly, could you please share the scan tool model so that all of us be aware of the fully supported types.

    ps: someone from a Romania's Toyota forum told me that his Kiwi has the same issues and that he was never able to see those values.

    correction: V01,V02 and R01,R02,R03 & R04 are correctly displayed.
    BTW: the remaining related PIDs are showing zero (is like ECU returns that zero value VS none in case of "no data received" when using torque scan)

    I can see all of the HV Battery information after the upgrade, no change.

    I am not sure what the differences are between the US Prius and yours in Romania.

    Thank you, JD! I see you're using scangauge2 so still hard to conclude on my side which might be the root cause here - ECU firmware vs ELM (anyone with ELM around? :) )
    At least I know those PIDs are still there to see in 2015...now I need to find how.

    Anyone from Europe on the forum?
    Hope frenchie will have a chance to see this - my car was bought from France btw :)

    I am actually using Engine Link on an iPad that uses the Elm 327 WiFi converter. Engine Link uses the same PID's as Torque.

    Pfuu ELM327 based ..that's a huge hit for me :(
    One last request if I may:
    - would be possible to share your CSV?
    Still hopping that might be something wrong with mine even if first two battery cells were showing the voltages & internal resistances (the whole CSV was simply downloaded & reused as it was)

    Is there and MG2 horsepower PID? I remember in my G2, it had the HP for MG2 and at full acceleration, the max HP was 55.

    You can create a virtual PID using MG2 rev and MG2 torque.

    Name: MG2 hp
    Equation: (VAL{MG2 Rev}*VAL{MG2 Torque})/5252
    Unit: hp

    Hi. The file that is posted on the first page of this thread is the file I downloaded. It has the date 4-24-12. Does this link always point to the most recent version? Or is there another one? Thanks.

    <<edit>> Figured it out. Seems later one, posted higher on this page is newer? Got it as the googledoc and saved as .csv ... (y)

    I'm trying to import the csv file and i cant. I export the csv metric from google docs and its detected in the Torque. I select the file and no custum pids are shown. When i do the same with other csv(like from usbseawolf2000) works just fine. Can you help me or export the metric to csv and upload me?

    hello usbseawolf2000, thank you (and all the others) for your great work first!

    i succesfully loaded the latest Version 12-Nov 2012 into a torque Version from a few month ago and use it in a Auris Year 2010 HSD (europe). it works. but some of the values that i want are questionable for me - i am sure i am not the first to ask, but is there an Explanation of them somewhere?

    Forward and Rearward G: - Shows 24 m/s² - quite high for standstill ;)

    Calculated Load [%] = Engine Load [%]
    Engine Load absolute [%]
    Vehicle Load[%]
    -what are these Loads exactly? or to wich value does the relative value refer to?

    Requested Engine Torque,ReqEngTorq,2149,(A * 256 + B) / 4,0,73,kW,7E0 : What is it, and why is still the unit kW?

    Accel Pedal Pos #1,AP1,2101,M * 20 / 51,0,100,%,7E2 : Shows strange values that are not really coupled with the postion of the pedal
    (both Pos1 and Pos2)
    Delta SOC: is always Zero. What would it be, if it works? Delta between SOC min and SOC max?

    Another story is, that not one of the fuel-consumption related PIDs that are delivered by torque itself gives a right value - not even near. is that the reason, that you tried to calculate it via air fuel Ratio and air mass?

    hello,

    you have to "save as CSV" the Version, that is not already in csv-style in Google docs. take the one that is still separated by collumns. this one will work. the other does not give you a list. i had the same Problem.

    if you open your Version of the pid list (in Notepad++ or Excel), the one that doesnt work, you will see Quotation marks everywhere. A Version that works just has Quotation marks on the Name of the pid.
