It doesn't really make sense since I put some effort into getting our 2010 (one of the first to hit our shore) where it is. Leather seats, suspension upgrades, etc. Plus I am not fond of 2015 Toyota nose job.

Yeah it does kinda morph, from an amiable clownfish to barracuda. Still not nuts though:

They had a prototype Prius to sit in. Have to say, it is a bit less ugly in person. I like how I don't need to jab at the HVAC buttons anymore. I'd still rather have rotary knobs but triggers will work half as well. Overall, this Prius seems over stylized. As many swooping jagged lines there were on the exterior, there were that many on the interior. Why did we lose the upper glove box? To keep the sweeping beige curve? I also don't like the shiny white plastic interior trim pieces. I don't like how the air vents stick past the center and jut out in front of the center displays. Makes it look like an afterthought, "oh yeah we forgot the air vents." The seat fabric is atrociously horrid. Think Honda Fit or Yaris "sport fabric"

What do I like about the interior? No more flying buttress! and the cargo cover is a flimsier piece of fabric. (I never use it and the flimsier it is, the less Toyota charges me for it. Hopefully anyway.) Oh and if anyone has the nerve, rip off the hubcaps and let's see what's underneath. The alloys look pretty good underneath the ugly ugly plastic. If I buy this car, it will probably be at the refresh when they remove all these stylized jagged lines on the exterior and interior. The basic shape of the car inside and outside is actually pretty nice.

P.S. See that part on the far right of the picture where the glove box should be? That's where the swooping beige meets the shiny black center trim pieces. Looks nice! Creates a little indentation where it meets where you think you might be able to put your cell phone standing up or some coins or even a pencil. Nope. It's sloped down to the passenger. Anything you put in there will slide right out. What a completely useless feature. But it does look nice. IMG_1930.JPG

I don't know about the lot inventory but my local dealer has one of each in the showroom - Liftback - Touring Package, v w/ Technology Package and c Tech w/ Premium Package

The white "bone china" accents do not go well with the beige. They work best with the grey or black interior.

No supply shortage here and dealers are still getting 2015 arrivals from port stock daily.

It's a dilemma whether to save $4,500 with 0% APR 60-month financing or wait for the "improved" 2016 that I haven't seen live but from pics wonder if the chief designer secretly loves '59 Chevys.

This is the one I saw at a local dealership alongside over a dozen others. It's not my first color choice, but they're getting more before incentives expire at month-end. The sales lady also agreed to include all-weather mats, lowering springs and swaybar at dealer cost. Very tempting.

I'd snap that up. Last chance to get 17" rims without ^%$&# plastic inserts, for example.

Our 2010 Canadian Touring is kinda similar: has the JBL, LED headlights, 17" rims and fogs. But not MFD and the various technology items. I like it like that. :)

I'm not a fan of lowering or sway bars, but to each their own.

better drink it, before you trade in.:p

i must say, I love having the mods merge my posts, i'm at a loss as to the lack of interior storage as mm says. a little here, a little there. why no cell phone holder? here we go again with vent clips and the like.

The little cubby space underneath the shifter or where the seat heater was badly placed in a G3 is where Toyota wants you to put your cell phone. The wireless charging pad is there.

I'd rather there be an slim indentation near the cup holder where I can put the phone standing up. This is the 2nd time I am mentioning this because I noticed this on many cars at the auto show and thought it was brilliant idea. It's little touches like that makes commutes a little more inviting. Reaching deep underneath the shifter for your cellphone is Toyotas way of saying. "No no no, use Entune for hands free driving."

Speaking of cupholders. The G4 Prius finally merges the cupholders with a space in between so mug handles will fit. You know, something that my 2006 Civic already has.

The Toyota touch 2 system in the EU Corolla (well, at least in Israel) is compatible with Android 'screen mirroring' of certain cell phones (and maybe Apple too?), make it possible to mirror cellular nav apps like Wase.
Is this possible with the new Prius?

If that was the intended purpose of the box, then that is just awesome.

They should have just allowed Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Even the Mitsubishi Mirage supports it!

Actually, the bubbly goes in the between the front seats center, with ice, the upper storage center is for the "Grey poupon" and crackers, the Brie goes in the cooler with the bubbly.

Big steps forward and big steps backward. It all depends on which steps matter most to you.
