Holy crap, another Touchpad owner? I love mine and agree it's too big for this. If the Nook Color weren't so flaky over BT I'd use that. For now, I use an Optimus S for Touque.

Simply put the CSV file (US / Metric) in ".torque/extendedpids" folder on your micro SD card.

When I set mine up I had to add the folder "extendedpids" in that new subdirectory you add the .csv that USB has provided in the OP. Once I did this, the USB's selection was then available, you import that group, and there are are around 113 or so new commands you can have fun with!

No, when you unzip USBSEAWOLFS file from the first post, that is the current .csv fileset, there are only 2 .csv. one for metric values, one for US Values.
So in the Torque directory, make a new sub-directory, name it entendedpids Unzip the above referenced file and copy the US version into the newly created extendedpids sub directory!. Open the Torque program, hit add pids you should now see this screen

Select USBSeawolf2000Gen2Prius, if you have a Gen II. Gen III if III

I got it! Thanks for your help.

Do you guys know of a list or could tell me what values I should be expecting to see? So far all I have heard is that the Coolant Temp should be around 195 F when it is fully warmed up.

From the main menu (rotatable items), choose the Realtime Information. From there, you can add those custom PIDs that you imported. Just touch and hold the empty spot and a menu will come up.

You follow this video after the first minute.

Hi everyone. I must be missing something. I have read this thread from start to finish but I can not find the cause of my troubles. I got myself a Galaxy Tab with Froyo and bought the Torque Pro app. I have downloaded and extracted the file USBSeawolf2000 Gen2 Prius 1-11-12 (Metric).csv into a folder named /.torque/extendedpids on a micro SD card and plugged the SD card into the tablet. When I try to load the extended PIDs they do not show up at the bottom of the list as expected.
I have formatted the SD card on the tablet and also uninstalled and re-installed Torque Pro. No luck with that.
What I have noticed is that the .torque folder does not show in the My Files app but when I want to create it, it exists already.
Any ideas or assistance will be appreciated. I would prefer not to load all the PIDs into Torque by hand.

I knew it! As soon as I post my query I would get the answer... myself. The Samsung Galaxy Tab uses an internal SD card as its memory. On the internal SD card is the /.torque/extendedpids folder where the .csv file from USBseawolf has to go. As soon as I copied the .csv file to the internal SD card everything worked fine.

Now to mount the 7" tablet... Any ideas?

Yeah, it's just that simple. Made the same mistake myself. But now that you got it running how does it work for you. Where are you going to mount the tablet? Pics!

After one fitting session I am considering a position to the right and in front of the steering wheel (right hand steer). There is a large piece of dashboard real estate where the tablet will be out of the way. Will go for a test drive tomorrow morning and take some pics.

On another note, the ignition advance PID seems not to be available. Is there anybody else who is able to display it?

This is what I have so far. The tablet's screen is a little bit dim but I will look into setting the brightness manually. The USB charger cable will be hidden in the dash once I decide to make it permanent. The bluetooth OBD2 interface is a little bit in the way when driving with my workboots and I am looking at connecting another plug in parallel with the existing plug or getting an OBD2 extension with a 90 degree connector.

The tablet is not in the way at all but I am tallish (1.8m / 6') but someone smaller than I might have a different (point of) view.

I have changed the minimum and maximum values of the gauges so that when everything is optimal and good the indicators are at the top of the dial face. That makes it easy to see the info at a glance.

Torque's Eco Widget indicates that I am a Sunday driver :) but I suppose that at 3.7 l/100km (63 mpg) in town that is to be expected. :D

Nice, it's in a very good location.
The Pics say it all. Are you going with multiple screens of Gauges? I ended up with 8 pages of Gauges. I am mounting my 7" tablet in the center area, covering the Stereo. I will rely on the steering wheel buttons for stereo adjust!
63 is a good number, hats off to ya! :D

I agree. Torque's calculated MPG is not the greatest.

Does anyone know a custom PID to get the MPG value that is displayed on the MFD? I'd like to log it along with some other data points (RPM, ICE kW, ICE Temp, etc) to help figure out why I sometimes get great mileage and other times terrible.

Does the ScanGaugeII have an option to read the MPG from the car computer (as opposed to calculating it from the data at hand)?

PID for ICE power in kW

In an attempt to replicate Hobbits Reflections on the sweet spot, I have started monitoring "ICE Power Request (kW)". I created this from the "ICE Power Request (HP)" PID. I just did a simple HP to kW conversion. It seems to work as expected, but the jury is still out as to if it can be effectively used to increase MPG.

    Here is the PID.
    Code:
    "ICE Power Request (kW)","ICE Power","21C3","(((256 * K) + L) * 0.0134) * 0.73549875","0","76","kW","7E2"

KW and GPS (Gas Pedal Sensor) are my main goto gauges anymore. A GPS of 21 on flat ground shows about 9 KW and equates to 75MPG or so when warmed up (and the battery isn't doing a funky nice person grab for all the juice it can get). If I'm doing any Pulse and Glide, then I keep the pulse at 15-18 KW depending on the lay of the land.
