So what happened to the '09 PRIUS, did you ever replace the Hybrid battery on it, or just kept driving it?

drove it for a while once I knew I probably needed a new traction battery (but no official error codes, just noticeably decreased mpg)
I knew I could get a new battery from GreenTecAuto for $1200, plus needed new tires $300.
But instead of putting “mo-money” into a 15yr old vehicle…. finally decided to dump-it and traded in for a ‘22
Didn’t get much on the trade ($4k), but couldn’t feel good abt selling privately when a traction battery (and more) was needed.

I bought my gen 2 with a newer OEM hybrid battery so I never had to pay for mine. It died at 175k miles and had a direct replacement installed; not a rebuilt one. I don’t know the nature and conditions that the last owner drove in; all I know is that is lasted 175k miles.
