Way to stick to your guns! Was it the end of the month when you visited? These prices are going to come down hard one day, and when they do, all that will be left is the resentment from former good customers.
Seriously? That’s disappointing. Thanks for the fyi. Researching models and their features. Curbs do t like my 5’2 frame haha. Sadly, my 2013 Prius was totaled by a herd of deer. I’ve been driving an 04 Highlander for 4 yrs @20 mpg and 36 miles each way to work :’(
Bought it on May 4, so beginning of the month. The 19" wheels ride nice, much better than I expected, no noticeable road noise. I averaged 57MPG with the 22 and about 50 MPG so far with the 23. Overall like the 23 much more than the 22.
Picked up my Guardian Gray 2023 Prius Prime XSE Premium last Monday 5/8/23 and so far so good. Still learning how to use all the features and I definitely have to adjust the settings on alarms and alerts since they go off when parking in a tight garage I am happy that the car has a lot of power & I can set it to ECO on EV Mode unlike my 2012 Prius Plug-in which seems to choke when I need the power to accelerate when needed! When I fully charged the car for the first time I got 33 EV miles based on the Toyota app and since then I have been getting 34 miles. It might’ve been 34 EV miles on my first charge too since I found out the Toyota app was off 1 EV mile which showed 33 EV miles while the car dash displayed 34 EV miles. I found the charger default auto lock setting a little finicky. I can’t seem to unlock it right away on my first and second charge. I finally set it to manual lock. I took it for a 26 mile drive along PCH a few days ago and I used up 17 EV miles and had 17 EV miles left when I got back. It looks like driving over 50 EV miles on a single charge is easily attainable.
Ordered a chill white XSE in January, this past Saturday I was called by my sales rep and informed that there was a cancellation on a yellow XSE Premium and I could grab it now. I asked what the wait time on my order would be and was told I would be likely looking at this November so Wednesday (tomorrow) I will be picking up my new yellow XSE Premium. The larger incentive on the premium takes a little bite out of the increased cost.
Picking it up today from Yorkdale Toyota in Toronto. Beats waiting until November. Will post picks up after I get it.
what is the reasoning to not offer all colors everywhere? seems to me like they're all made at the same factory, arent they?
It also has no impact on any regulations like fuel economy. Somebody in sales, or the dealer association, felt it wouldn't sell, so why bother.
In the US, taxis use a yellow paint job. That's why almost no one ever sells a yellow car in the US because they think no one wants to buy a car that can be mistaken for a taxi. In Canada, the most common color for taxis seems to be orange.
While the US is country that invented yellow taxis and it is the most common and often required taxi color here, yellow is commonly used for taxis throughout the world. The mustard Gen 5 Prius/Prius Prime is less likely be mistaken for a taxi in the following places. Toronto, Canada: Japan: Then, I also see pink Teslas here now and then.
Yellow is a well-established super/sportscar color. The new Prius looks kind of concept/exotic-ish. Why not yellow!?! Twins?
Why is it so difficult to post photos on this forum? The photos show up fine on the preview and then turn into a red x/box when post gets submitted...
