Gauging Interest on JDM Full LED Tail lamps

I guess its similar but not the same though.

 

If u need a hand with the flasher, just shoot me a pm. I was able to get the old flasher out & put the new 1 in its proper place.

with the full LED tailights you can seriously blind the driver behind you, haha, if someone honks you just put your car on reverse and blind them with your SB's

 

Nice! Won't work when we're moving though, as it goes into neutral. Would need a switch to turn the lights on manually. But it would also have the somewhat cool effect of having the reverse camera on while going forwards...

I managed to use the backup lights to signal the person behind me that their high-beams were on - we were at a red light and I shifted in and out of R a couple of times until they dimmed their lights.

 

I'm sold on the smoke / black version

 

my man !! that's what I did once too, I'm telling you these led taillights are super bright and they are blinding, especially the white portion of it

 

I actually find that I have trouble seeing when I back up at night now. The backup camera is lit up by the LED tag lights but if I look behind me it's too dark, unless there is something for the light to bounce off of.

 

Question for all you fellow residents of CA. that have purchased the SB Tail lights...have you had any run-ins with the fuzz because of your SB's? If so, what was the outcome?

Looking for some consoling to help encourage me to take the leap. I think it would be easy to slip pass unnoticed with the other color options, in comparison to the SB on BP paint w/ the OEM black rims.

One last question...re: SB, would the red reflector count as the red that is required on tail lights?

 

I'm in the same boat. I think the tint dims the output slightly. Makes it a bit harder to gauge distances...

No problem with the fuzz *knock on wood* and I've had them on my Prius for a while now. Re: the reflector question, the answer is yes. There is no side reflector, however unless the fuzz is really intent upon giving you a bad day or is hurting to writing some citations, it is not immediately noticeable the reflector is missing. But you should make the final judgement whether or not that is the deal breaker...

those lights are neck breakers at night, I get people starring at them all the time

I was just agreeing with Trent regarding the reverse lights. It's like reversing and looking back through darkly tinted windows (just my opinion and observation).
