Tideland's mentioned that apart from contact with Danny, he can't do much.

I got the same problem with our 2017 Two. Only in cold weather, at start up. It is bad. If anyone figures this one out, let us know!

Gas and air mix is renowned for being dangerous in a human environment. Anyone anxious enough to get back to a dealer with this problem?

If the smell is inside the car with the door shut, then it could be a leaky exhaust which needs urgent attention at the dealers, if it's out side the car then no worries, it'll be the usual pollution coming from the exhaust, running a rich cold start mixture with a cold cat.

If it were as simple as that, we all be noticing the smell in every Gen 4, assuming a cooler climate operation.

I'd only notice it if I had a leaky exhaust because I don't stand outside in the cold with the engine running. If I'm demisting, I sit in the car with the doors shut. I defrost the outside of the screen with spray on de-icer.
But TBH, being retired, these days I usually don't bother going out in the car if it's icy, we have local shops a quick walk around the corner.
