Fuel Prices

The Shell station I usually go to went up another 5 cents a gallon today. It is the first time I have seen $3.009 there.

Chevron was $3.09/$3.19/$3.29

Exxon was $3.11/$3.21/$3.31

 

It's been slowly creeping back up here in Lubbock. A couple of weeks ago it was steady around $2.45-$2.50 for regular. Then a way ago it jump up .10 cents and has been rising a few cents every couple of days since. Now it is $2.72 for regular.

At this rate, it will be $3.00 here before Memorial Day. National Average today is $2.82, so much for those saying it wouldn't reach $3 this summer.

 

At the nearest Chevron on the corner by my work (Huntington Beach, CA), today's prices are $2.95/3.05/3.15
On my way to work there was a Shell (Garden Grove/Cypress, CA) whose prices this morning were $2.99/3.09/3.19

The lowest price that I have seen recently is $3.039!

$3.109 is more typical.

Hovering around 2.75-2.80 for 87 here on the outskirts of Boston...

 

$3.099 for Reg 87 Central Valley/Fresno at MacDonald's/Unocal station.

Unleaded has risen this weekend by another 2p / litre, it's now 94.9p / litre. One local motorway service area has now topped the £1/litre mark. Pundits are forecasting further rises over the next few weeks so it you need to fill your tank in the UK start saving!

 

First time since last summer, Reg was at $3.05 for Regular

 

About 2.80 this afternoon in Nashville, but it varies from one side of town to the other as much as 10 cents for the same grade. Utilities also going up. Even my trash disposal company raised their rates due to rising gas prices. My AOL bill went up--suppose they'll relate that to the gas prices too? Only thing that doesn't seem to be rising proportionately is my paycheck.

Was 2.97 this AM but 3.03 by the time I came home this PM. I do believe that there are no gas stations under $3 in the San Diego area.

Then they had some lump on the TV talking about how hybrids weren't ment as a regular car, $7-10,000 replacement cost for batteries, don't really get good enough gas mileage....
I wonder if the car companies are with the gas companies or against them...new civil war for the states

I heard on the news radio this morning that on Coronado Island, gas is now going above $4/gallon, and at a station (full serve) in Beverly Hills.

 

Maaaaaaan, too bad we could organize a serious "don't buy gas day".... :angry: :angry: :angry:

 

Three hours later, as I left to pick up the Prius from the Toyota service dept (5K mi svc) the Chevron on the corner is now at $3.09/$3.19/$3.29...up $.02/gallon for each grade.

Just heard that gas is now at $75.05/bbl.
