The furthest I have pushed it considering 11.9 gallon factory spec was 458 miles with dash saying 39mpg and I put 11.8 gallons in.

Got in the car and was laughing. When wife asked why I explained and she has not let me go near that again. When light starts to flash I can stuff about 8 gallons in so at least in my 06 it seems I have almost 3 gallons when it yells empty. With my new PL battery that's about 150 miles

Why should FUEL bladders be any different?

Only can do that at home, on a recent 2500+ mile round trip I stopped in two hotels at night in my non hybrid, one each way. Neither had a charge point but both were next to gasoline stations. Drove 600 miles per day. One fuel stop. A couple of convenience stops too but none took more than five minutes.

EVs are suburban cars at best. Condominium owners don’t have them either. See the Whole Foods crowd charging up at the store occasionally but not often.
