For those of you who have named your Prius...

Like turtles we figure you turn them up side down to determine gender .... haven't got around to that yet.

My blue 2007 immediately got the name TARDIS, the wife said, "It's bigger on the inside." We haven't had it a month yet, so gender is still TBD.

 

Hal is a guy (I had just revisited "2001; a Space Oddyssey" when I was acquired by him).

 

He was seduced by the dark side. More machine now, than man. Twisted, and evil.

Yet tasty in the deep fryer.

His name is Darth Tater.

 

Bohemia! She is my Czech gypsy.

Her name is also my vanity plate (which will be shortly replacing the 30-day temp tag).

I named my Prius "Spaceship Galactica". Being a man of the sea for me all ships are "she".

 

It's not official yet but I'm thinking "Sparky".
Mine looks male to me with all of its angles.

 

So I have never had a car that had a human gender. I figure all of my cars have had a gender. In my world (which exists only in my mind) all cars belong to the gender car. It's a different gender group than the motorcycle belongs to, but a little hard to define. They can be moody and have their times of the month and then come along and amaze me by hauling something really heavy and dirty or not complaining in the slightest about a really icy road. So while I can't define the gender in Human terms it is defined. Well thats in my world anyways.

My mom's car a Lexus R300 is named Miss Piggy. Care to guess why?
My Dad named his Camry Highbryd Greta Because he says it is always flashing things at him to make him Drive more efficiently. Makes him think of a certain type of German woman.
I have not named my car yet but I am considering it after reading this. I Really Liked Holly for the Nav system. Again a Red Dwarf joke with out a gender or with both genders. My Truck, which also needs a name, has had the engine cover painted with a big picture of the TARDIS and the fuse box is labeled TARDIS Power but I kinda like that name for the Prius Now.

Well I have an unnamed Prius and Truck here any suggestions........?????????????

Named her Lizzie Pearl after Minnie Pearl on HeeHaw. I call her lizzie. I was going to go with Minnie because it fit but then Lizzie came to mind.

Dont force it...brainstorm and use the names...one will fit and you will know it when it does.
