First week, 1500 miles and already a problem with HVAC.....

I've had no problems with glare on the 11" display, even heading east recently in late afternoon. My biggest problem with visibility is the occasional accumulation of lint and dust, which I wipe off by a light couple of sweeps using a clean cloth. Remember my medium window tint on all windows and rear windshield makes a big difference to me with reducing glare.

Those under seat vents are for heat only. In order to produce "front only" cooling, the computer reduces the airflow from the upper vents. If you, like me, don't like the reduced cooling airflow from the upper vents, just de-select "front only" and the airflow will "magically" increase from the upper vents after a few seconds...
