    Wind Chill Pearl is arguably the best color of them all. I was very lucky to get "stuck" with it during allocation. It's no accident that Toyota seems to be favoring this color as it sends cars to the U.S. At night it almost becomes silver, in the sun you see every color in the rainbow. Very, very rich looking paint up close.

    Watch the following video (hopefully it starts at 3:05), you'll see yellows and oranges emerging at differing angles.

    I generally do not like white cars, but it shows the body lines in the 5th gen Prius so well. I ended up with supersonic which I love, but I'd gladly take a wind chill pearl.

    Pearl can be a gorgeous color. Not sure what the most popular shade is now, but pearl allowed white to unseat silver in the recent past.

    Digital Cameras:
    I had loved an aftermarket camera that replacing (mounts on top of) the rear view mirror includes a backup camera you need to run the install. Loved it so much I got two, for each Prius. There was a promise of a firmware update that was a vaporware update which was supposed to fix a) DEFAULT view showing the front of the car (look in the rear view mirror and you are staring at the front of the car)...and b) adjust default settings and suddenly you lost the ability to loop your recordings (delete oldest to record newest). Company vanished....

    Love it so much would prefer this same solution in the next car, but one that shows rear of car as default, and looping working as expected regardless of device settings.

    Anyone else use one of these, that fit right over the current mirror?

    Rear Bumper Protector:
    Yep - love the one we have on our Gen3, and disappointed to learn the new one is smaller. We use the hatch of all kinds of things.

    Blind Spot Mirror Blinker:
    Admittedly dumbfounded this was omitted, in 2023. Was really looking to forward to those being included - outdates the car not having them. Not up for the extra $$$ and work to purchase and install separately.

    Moonroof:
    Also majority disappointed as this has been a favorite feature for us.

    I received an email almost two weeks ago with specs on the Prius that has been allocated for me. Double checked the vin # and it’s not showing up on Toyota-tracker.com yet. When they sent me info on the allocated 2022 it showed up right away. Any ideas? Maybe it’s not actually in the build stage yet?

    Also is it fairly accurate unless there is a delay or complication? I’m asking because I’m following the Corolla Cross Hybrid that’s supposed to arrive between July 1 and 18. Do they sometimes arrive before the tracker gets updated? I want to swing by and at least get a look at it before it’s driven home by its owner I guess I’m close enough that I can swing by every couple of days. : }

    Mine never showed up in the the inventory/Toyota Tracker. Yours could still show up at some point, but I wouldn’t worry too much if it’s not there. Your dealer should have access to a more accurate timeline with where it is in the process if you ask them. Mine was already on a ship when it was allocated per my dealer’s timeline.

    Toyota Tracker is definitely a rough estimate resource. The salesman will have a more accurate itinerary that usually gets updated once a week if I remember. If they are really helpful, they will notify you when their truck is out to pick it up, which means the car will be on their lot in 24-?? hours.

    Make sure they gave you have an image of the window sticker for your car. Double-check the VIN you are putting in Toyota Tracker from there.

    Toyotas website and Toyota tracker is basically the same thing. For me, by the time there was a date shown on the websites, the car arrived a few hours later. But that may be due to the dealership just an hour away from receiving port.

    They didn’t give me a window sticker. It was the 3 page sheet with all the details/specs including generic photo and price breakdown. I just checked the email and it said it was due to leave Japan on June 19th?? I guess it must be built already and despite my asking him to add bumper appliqué it was probably too late. Will have to add on at dealership…darn. I’m going to be bummed if I can’t track it. : (

    Figures the two wafflers have vins that don’t show up on the tracker. : )

    Just looked on dealers website tonight and there are now two cutting edge XLE AWD’s coming in. Plus a guardian gray Prime that must have been rejected because they have it listed with photos and no sale pending.

    Yes. No mark up. Who knows it could be sold by now but they don’t put actual photos on sale pending vehicles these days.

    The VIN I am given by the dealer was in 'Allocation' until it arrived at port Newark on 6/19. I was able to find the ship on vessel finder using the ship and arrival dates given by my salesperson. Toyota tracker updated the status to 'Freight' a few days later. As of yesterday, my dealer said they have not received the vehicle even though they are only a few miles from Port.

    Ok VIN #’s worked for both cutting edge this morning. Last night I entered the vin three different times after clearing the page so there must have been a glitch. I feel better now. : }

    It's vesselfinder.com and the ship was Aegean Highway. I tried to look for vessel carriers in the vicinity of Port Newark on or around June 19th, and sure enough, I found Aegean Highway berthed at the port on that day.
