Since I can't work on the real project, I've been playing around with photos instead. I think adding a black racing stripe on the extra metal under the doors will disguise them nicely.

My wife and I have revised the proposed house plan to a smaller rancher but still keeping the two big garages. This is the sketch I gave to the builder to pass to the architect. I'm anxious to see the real plans as they develop! Modified house plan 2a.jpg

Not many homes are designed with two “Bedroom 2” rooms. ;).

The endless pool is also spatially defined, if we want to get technical ;).

You misunderstood. That is for their endless pool game, after dinner. :D o_O
The only entrance is off the dining room.

We designed our third house and made a mistake. In the master bath. which is perhaps 2.5 times the size of the master bath in the house we came from, we used space for a jetted 2 person tub. 12 years later we have used it 3 times, it is a pain to keep clean and if you don't mildew comes out the jets. We wish we had a bigger linen closet and bigger sink flat areas even though we have separate sinks..

An "endless pool" is a lap pool in which the water moves/recirculates at swimmer speed.

Wouldn't have been my choice of location either... would have looked for both western and southern exposures, along with infinity/knife-edge, of course. Separate topic, the beatings over two, separate two car garages would never stop.

I've known a few people who put in jet-tubs over the years - most are un-used once they work out how much water they use.

(And enough hot water to partly empty the hot-water heater - a lot of hot-water systems here run from 11pm to 8am at almost ½ tariff - and a day-time spa-bath meant it was only luke warm till 11pm again - so nobody else could have a warm shower - some had to change to full tariff so it re-heated during the day.)

I have a two person whirlpool tub and haven't used it in years. There must be a lot of other stinky people out there besides me.

It empties a 50 gallon hot water heater and then there is no water to warm it back up and I thought about a heater but didn't do it.

Ferris and TORO 10 16 18 (2).jpg If you work on your own cars you will never have enough garage space. My house garage is
    26 X 36 and my back garage is 32 X 40 and last year we bought a 14 X 28 lawn building.
We are out of room again. My wife said she wanted a new lawnmower so we got a new lawnmower. I was planning on trading in her old zero turn but they wouldn't give me enough money so we ended up with to commercial zero turn radius mowers and eight cars.

I have an additional 350 ft (over 100m) behind where the house will be of empty flat field. The only thing I plan to put back there at the moment is a wind turbine.
