Did you ask him how often did he change trany fluid?
I know Toyota doesn't state trany fluid change or just offer recommendation but from my experience heat is the biggest enemy of any trany.
If I was a taxi driver I would put extra trany cooler and change the fluid every 30-50K km.
Trany fluid is cheap and easy to change.

I agree. I change mine every 30k miles. Taxi driving is severe duty. Extra maintaince should pay off if you want the car to go the extra mile.

Many folks don't realize that heat will destroy any trany.
Few years ago I run an experiment, I measured the trany return line temp. after driving it for 45min in hot sunny day (about 28C if I remember) in a city tragic.
The trany fluid temp on return line (from radiator) was over 92deg. C (if I remember correctly).
I install small trany cooler and run the experiment again. the try fluid return line was 30deg lower (low 60 C)
Prius trany temp will not be much different.

Prius transaxle is totally different from a conventional. In city "tragic" traffic, it may not heat up that much...because the heat release is much lower.

World Heritage Site is what UNESCO dubs one such as !!! but in reality all the sites dubbed as a World Heritage Site, is no body's but the people that built it ! so my dear friend the GREEK has such a right to say so for the word TRAGIC is a (or'-os) ὄρος OROS (Definition) set by Greeks . AND A HOLLY ONE AT THAT !

also look up the word *Globalization . DEFINITELY NOT DREAMPT UP BY GREEKS ! don't misunderstand me this is not a racist remark i just believe that all nations have rights that are reserved . if one can not take pride in to his own heritage without being labeled a racist fascist or a Nazi by the globilizers . we all might as well do each other until the strong get stronger, richer and the rest of us just work for them nice person slaves 99.9% at that we are and going stronger. while we don't even known who the 1% is that is enforcing all this economical misery on the people of this world.

Just asking :) so the greek has a monopoly on the english word tragic just because ??? And what other words are holly ???

No it is not a racist remark at all it is just a 'tragic' cultural misundarstanding. Someone from Portugal using an english word, tragically invented by the greeks now someone from Greece claims unalienable rights to it. And all this is happening on an american car blog. This is absolutely fits the greek word tragedy :)

Sorry, you are right this is a word in English (no question adopted from greek over some millenia) BUT you are still wrong claming unalienable rights to it.

Clearly this was used by the romans hence found its way to latin which then transfered to many other langueges including english, french, spanish, italaian (of course) hungarian (which is mine). So please be little forgiving other using your invention at least fair use ...

the whole world is welcome to use the word, i am just saying its a HOLLY word . Greeks through a tragedy would also praise the god's.and to say not to be used lightly . the GODS are not forgiving when such a word is used without Just cause, to describe or illustrate something without a certain gravity to civil rights and humanity. tragedies are to be respected .

You just got to accept that different words mean different things in different cultures. I remember being berated on here a year or two ago for using a word which in American English is an insult, yet here in England it isn't. I won't mention the word, but there is a history attached to it in America and it has since become an insult. In England there is no such history and it is commonly used in an endearing way.

But for the respect of the site and the majority of users who are American, I haven't used that word since. To give a similar example, in Australia they refer to Brits as Poms. It is considered by many Brits as a derogatory word as it is rarely used as a term of endearment, yet to an Aussie it is still acceptable to use. Does that make it right or wrong, or does it depend on the culture?

Thus to many 'English' speakers the word tragic or tragedy means just what it says in our dictionary "Suffering extreme distress or sorrow" and not what the original Greek meaning may have been. Why some on here had to relate to borderline racist comments to explain the above to you I don't understand. It should never come to that sort of mud slinging.

Hope things are holding up for you down in Greece. Things seem to get worse up here day by day, but the suffering going on in your Country is quite upsetting to see. I thought things were bad for us until I saw that sort of report. I wonder where it'll all end. I keep thinking it can't get much worse with 60% youth unemployment etc, yet worse it gets.

Orphans of the EU meltdown: The shocking picture that shows how middle class parents in Greece are dumping their children in orphanages so they won't starve | Mail Online

I fear if things don't improve soon, there'll be big problems in the World. Look at Europe, look at the arab World, look at Brazil. My pay is now half what it was 10 years ago and costs have risen massively since. A once comfortable member of society is now almost on the bread line and things still get worse. There is nothing left to cut or cut back on and yet still prices go up and up and wages stay the same or even get cut. It's a mess for us and we're not in that nonsense €uro. Well I'm hanging on to my wireless connection until the cable company remember to cut it off like they did the phone a week ago. Then it's hang on in with the mortgage at all costs. Each month that gets paid is 6 months away from being homeless and a month nearer buying my house. Only 19 more years to go on that one.

    Fun and games eh.

Error codes led to traction battery disconnect. Like luggage causing a temporarily disconnect. Cleared the error codes and it was back to business. image.jpg
