Just 10 miles south, they got 8 inches. At my place, there wasn't even enough snow to make a footprint.

Not true. I saw my EV estimate "plummet" in the winter to 12.8 miles. It is back up to 14.2 now. But when it is a bit warmer like today I see my "actual" miles go up by about 1 mile per charge (based on EV miles remaining before I recharge on my normal route).

    I wouldn't exactly call that a plummet.

I'm glad I took samples throughout winter. It's amusing to see how the scenery changes based on the outcome of your driving.

at3PriusMike, wth?! how did you achieve that? in the winter I dropped to 9.8 miles. I've never seen 12.8 let alone 14.2.

90% of the time in EV is during my commute...~6 miles each way on 35-50 mph roads. If I drive in EV on the freeway at 65 mph I only get ~10 miles of actual range. Usually if I get on the freeway I switch to HV because I am going a longer distance. And I rarely will hop on the freeway to go just 1 or 2 exits (like I used to)

My EV is up to 10.6, which I haven't seen since Hurricane Sandy.

A lot of highway driving brings the EV average down.

He doesn't. He was quoting PIPLosAngeles. :)

I can't imagine how you could average 39mpg in a PIP. I drove up into the mountains 5,500ft., sped along the highways at 70+mph, with AC blasting and with only 1 charge and still managed 56mpg yesterday (228 miles).
