Filter wont come off...Ideas?

I used a 64 key and it would not fit. I purchased a 65mm, I will see next time

 

With mine (Honda), at 64.5 mm inside, I find it's a snug fit, it takes a bit of a push getting it on, and will stick pulling it off. But not bad. I suspect if the fit is too sloppy it can actually jam worse, wedges as you turn it? Too, it has to be precise, all 14 faces have to be quite accurate.

 

If anyone is interested in the Toyota one, go to the website I linked. I think I had to call to order it, but I'm sure I asked for the part ending in 1 instead of 0. Besides having to add shipping, I don't recall it being very expensive....
