. When I got $1500 from CA, I not claim it as income, Same with 2500 deduction. I believe both are exempt as income.

Well I guess that is correct, PA PiP subsidy is taxable income...but way better than nothing.

If you are in California you can get a free report that shows all of the incentives available for EV's. The reports are customized and updated so you don't get a bunch of information you don't need. The website is called plugincentives and free reports are available if you navigate to 'Learn about EV's' / select a model / request a free incentive report.

Just a reminder that the last sticker will probably be greater than 39999, due to replacements that have been issued over the past two years.

My sticker I got is not as cool. :( Just a little plug in car I have to put in my windshield if I want to use the 1 toll road in the state for free that is outside of my EV range anyways lol.

Replacement stickers are numbered as the originals. They are replacement stickers. They match the old #.

Thank you for clarifying that. So since there was sticker #00000 (held by one of the honored members of this forum), that means that the last one will be #39999, at least until and if they raise the limit.

YAY! finally some good news on the incentives front...it's been so boring around here since WV got rid of their $7500 tax credit last year. I hope MA shows some respect for PiP and it qualifies.

it does but just for the $1500 credit
whats unclear to me is if the Volt qualifies for the $2500 or if that's just for 100% electric
the release didn't mention battery size

I'll take it...that's the best we got...do you think it's taxable like PA, or would you get the whole enchilada?

good question but since its point of sale - coming right off the price its possible its not a taxable event
However we didn't get the moniker Taxachusetts for nothing !

I just purchased my pip last Sunday 3/30. Dealer is "helping" me get the green sticker, whatever that means. Not sure if that's any faster than me mailing in the sticker app to dmv myself. Wish me luck.

The CA rebate I'm not that worried about (or should I be? ). To me, it sounds like I'm still getting the rebate but I just have to wait until sept. I don't get the impression that there's a chance i might not get it. I'm assuming I just have to wait for 5 or 6 months?

Charlie- I'd be more worried about the green sticker, as it sounds like the rebates will flow later this year. You should follow the other threads/discussions on the green stickers to make sure you are doing all you can on that. This particlular thread is a little more generic for all states.

Try this thread, and post the same thing you said here to see if any advice is given:

    Any Washington DC Prius owners?

Somehow I had not realized that Washington DC has the best Prius incentives of any "state". Apparently the 6% excise (DC sales tax) is waived for all vehicles over 40 EPA MPG city.

So let's say you purchase $28000 regular Prius, Prius v wagon, or PiP ...that's a savings of $1680!!
That makes DC by far the best "state" for conventional hybrid incentives, and also about the best "state" for PiP!
How did I miss that? Well the purpose of this thread is to capture state-by-state PiP incentives based on reports from actual buyers giving us the heads up. If no one reports this, then it's just speculation. Can anyone confirm for DC?

Are we missing any other state incentives for PiP that no one has yet reported back to us? HINT: believe the answer is YES we are missing listing some state incentives.
