2024 Ford F-150 Lightning to Includes Vapour-Injected Heat Pump on All Models

The entire 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning lineup will come standard with a heat pump system, a highly desired electric vehicle feature that will likely improve cold weather efficiency.

A growing number of EVs today come with heat pumps, so it was a surprising omission when Ford announced the F-150 Lightning wouldn't have such a system. That was especially true, since the Lightning isn't a budget EV, and certainly has the physical space to incorporate such a system. EVs with heat pumps include the whole Tesla lineup, the BMW i4 and iX, Hyundai's Ioniq cars and their Kia and Genesis cousins, and now Ford's electric pickup.

Received my copy today. 4 articles, all negative charging experience slanted. One Editor's Letter, one Rivian, two different Fort Lightening models. Of course dumb driver or deliberate run out of battery and few and non-functioning chargers involved. Not to overlook the driver pulling and breaking a cord designed to open a fueling access flap in case of battery incapable.

And I didn't even count the story involving a race pit stop fiasco involving a wining Ferrari LeMans hybrid.

2025 Ford Ranger Plug-In Hybrid Is Coming, Just Not to the U.S

The new Ford Ranger is adding a plug-in-hybrid powertrain, it just won't be available in the United States. Instead, the PHEV variant will be offered in Australia, Europe, and New Zealand, with production set to start at the end of next year before the first models hit driveways sometime in early 2025.
