Done. All of the interior lights are now LED. The vanity lights were replaced with Autolumination.com #194 T10 wedge, 3K white.

Got the 7440's from iJDMtoy.com. They seem to work fine except that they aren't nearly as bright as the factory incandescents. I am waiting to hear back from tech support to see if there is anything that can be done to increase the brightness. If not, they are going back. Here is a short video comparing the LED to the factory light in daylight:

 

FYI the front map lights do not fit in the advanced PIP. I talked to the guys and they will have a kit in 3 weeks or so.

 

Yeah, I chopped mine up, was going to upload what I did tomorrow lol, hopefully I can buy the new map lights alone if you already have the kit

Nice video. Yes, I will be holding off on doing this. When I talked to the guy and told him they didn't fit, he apologized and said when the new versions come in in 3 weeks he would send them to me. You may want to give them a call and or email and let them know you have the PiP.

They need to change their site to indicate the PiP doesn't fit these. I wouldn't have bought them if I had known.

 

Oh wow, that's Awesome, Just sent him an email =), Hopefully other users worst case is being able to purchase the Maplights alone. If you do mod it, since they are going to lay around, the right side is designed differently then the left in the video, making the right side harder to do, take clear photos of front and back before you chop it up =P

 

Been trying to contact them about the front Dome Lights for the Advanced PiP and haven't heard back from them.

 

I was told they would sent some when they have them updated, I asked to purchase them but they offered to sent them, maybe they are really busy making them!! Pretty awesome product, can't wait

 

I got an email reply that they received them from Korea, but they were still not correct so they sent them back with a design change. They are still working on them.

I have confidence that they will do right by us and I really do like the product, it looks fantastic and to be able to dim the lights is really a key for me.

 

any updates? did you guys receiv the new kits?

 

Yes, sorry, received the new lights and they are perfect. They even sent me a set of difusors, which are a white plastic that goes between the light and the cover, so it all looks solid, you don't see the LEDs themselves, just the white light. Looks really nice, now I think I want difusors for all the lights.

 

Would like to know if they sell the diffuser separately...

He is not selling the diffusor yet. he does plan on adding them to the site as a Do it yourself sheet.

I cut them out and the diffusor doesn't work well for lights other than the front two map lights. To work well, there needs to be room between the diffusor and the leds. When they are right on top out the leds, they turn yellow and you can still see the leds.

Are the map lights on a Prius Five same as the Plug-in Advanced? I think the difference is the Safety Connect assembly. Can anyone confirm?

 

PiP advanced front map lights are the same as a prius with a sunroof as it has the safety connect button.
