Cities could take some of money they spend on Lime electric scooter repair costs and maintain public chargers. In big cities drunk people dump scooters in laxes, rivers, bridges, etc. People are careless and the norm is to destroy or vandalize everything public. Same witht the e bikes...In California I've seen a lot of good use by customers as intended....less in other cities.

Too wide a net. Some places women can’t go to school and have to hide their faces. Some places you can stand with a blank piece of paper and be arrested and taken to jail. Happened in Russia. I think that’s a bit off the locality meant here about charging.
OK, I had to go back to page one and read it was about passing laws on chargers to make it easier to pay or something. In Europe.

And yet those companies still are profitable because the amount of money lost to destructive people are insignificant compared to how much money you make selling some a quick scooter ride down the road. I bet most of those scooters pay for themselves in the first couple months of use and after that it's all profit.

Well, since we are so far off the rails already…
Why do you propose that cities are paying Lime electric scooter repair?

Here some city street parking and some parking garages don't have meters and require an app. It's stupid (esp. since some are downtown and you have tourists who obviously won't have the app).

I've found some in the US too. I had to move to a different lot that accepted money.

our neice has a volvo ev. she drives from kingston ny to plymouth ma to see her parents.

on her last trip, all the chargers were down where she usually stops, and she didn't have enough charge to make it to another.
she had to call triple a and get a tow.

    OWCH!

My tow was because the mythical 'battery reserve' evaporated in the summer heat. Fool me once!

idk if they brought her to other chargers, or to her parents house where she plugged in to 120v.

it shows the distinct advantage of tesla over all other ev's.
