At first it couldn't find mine. I thought I would have to re-pair it. Started to go into setup and it automatically restarted Bluetooth and both my phone and my wife's showed up in the paired list.
I had the same thought, so I tried it both ways, via WiFi and "LTE". After about 4 more tries, the apps finally updated completely over WiFi. Still, a very strange occurrence. Plus, after all of the messing around, I found nothing new or improved after the update. Is I Heart Radio any different from Pandora? Yes. Does it waste less bandwidth? Hardly.
I agree. Who needs this stuff in their car? I just want all of the hard buttons that were on the 2010 Nav unit, or lacking that, use the hard buttons to select from menu items displayed on the screen. What took 1 selection in the 2010 takes 3 or more in the 2012 making it much harder to use.
I miss the "Map" button that was on the 2005 Prius's steering wheel. You could push it once and your exact location would show up on the map. Now, you have to look for and find the "Map" button on the display and push it. I find that I have to look away from the road to find the button. Inconvenient.
This is just dandy. After the update, which completed successfully, when I press the button on the steering wheel, the Nav display says, "Voice Recognition Unavailable." Now what?
