    Funny, My Total Is Different.

    Hmm, I run the numbers as being more like this:

    Used battery from eBay in reasonably good shape, say 20,000 miles or less mileage, call it a thousand dollars with shipping.

    Find a mechanic willing to do the transplant,they are new at it so they spend an entire eight hour day doing it at $50/hour, total of $400

    Throw in a hundred dollars for parts and this comes to a total of two thousand dollars.

    Yes ..... that person was Andrew Grant who is currently running a 2004 Prius since December 3 2003 and has now 103,000 kms todate. The 2001 Prius was on the road for a total of 25 months with a total of 332,172 kms. The person who uses the e-mail address priustaxi is Andrew Grant.
