    Modern car rust example is my 2003 Tundra which had its frame replaced in 2013 due to frame rust through. I have seen stacks of such frames at this Toyota dealer and they reported doing "hundreds" of such frame replacements.
    My autos from the 60s 70s 80s and 90s had tremendous rust problems in a Chicago climate.
