    • Hyundai Kona is not a dog but it is dependent on the unreliable Electrify America CCS chargers.
      • EVgo and Electrify America CCS chargers have been pretty expensive, 3-4x gas equivalent, for our BMW i3-REx. However, a faster charger than our BMW i3-REx, 50 kW, may be EV affordable.
    • Audi e-tron is a dog along with the Jaguar I-Pace.

    ....... seems the i-Pace also has efficiency losses attributable to a large traction pack buffer. Bigger top end buffers allow for faster charging despite higher current during topping-off / full charging. High power charging at the top would otherwise generate tons of heat - making the battery susceptible to premature capacity loss. The downside is the cars have to lug around 100's of extra lbs of weight - taking an efficiency hit, in favor of getting back on the road quicker.

    The I-Pace has a major problem with the grill having an air duct exiting to the top of the front hood. Might as well mounted a parachute on the front grill except it would block that silly duct and improve high speed performance.

    Lowest common denominator. Instead of educating customers, it seems they and Audi are doing this so as not to have to deal with complaints about the charging slow down when approaching full charge.
