The Pacer filing indicates they sold less than 100.

    Found this today...
City officials react to CODA collapse | The Benicia Herald

After doing some more digging, I found CODA leaves Benicia | The Benicia Herald from Feb 26, 2013.

After recall, CODA, city stay positive | The Benicia Herald was from Sept 14, 2012 with this interesting bit...
If wonder if he/they are going to be in hot water given the 5/1/13 court filing states that "they sold fewer than 100 units".

Darwin's theory of natural selection at play here. The Coda deserved to go under.

I can't help but think Coda was never really designed to sell as a car. I get the impression that the car was designed as a proof of concept for EV technology they would develop, and then hoped to sell (the company) or license.

Hmmm... that have never occurred to me.

FWIW Coda Unveils Electric Car Pricing at $45K, Above Volt & LEAF — Tech News and Analysis had their CEO making claims:
First Coda Electric Car Deliveries Now “Late Fourth Quarter” 2011 | PluginCars.com says
They didn't make that either. First 2012 Coda Sedan Electric Cars Delivered To Paying Customers happened in March 2012.

There's an Irvine CA dealership down the road that still has several brand new Codaa for sale. Same outrageous sticker price as introduced on day one. Any takers? ;)
I wonder where you'd have to take it to have it worked on ... even for warranty work.

Are you sure you didn't leave out a zero? ;)
Considering its 100kW motor - pack size, and active cooling, I'm sure they'd want at least $9k more - despite its 1980's body style. But what the heck ... next time I stop by the local "Hat" pastrami shop on the same block - I'll see what they'll take & report back.

They may not get the tax deductions until they are sold. See how low he will go. If you get a tax credit and a hov sticker, some college kid will buy it from you cheap, and you may make a profit. Didn't leave out a 0, just was curious, and didn't think you really wanted the car. A $12K offer and they may take it just to get the thing off the lot.

I'd pay $14k IF I can still get the $7500 federal tax credit and $2500 California tax rebate...

    The boss of Coda seems to make questionable decisions;

    Chinese car sales slow

They're going into China just as sales are falling.
