actually you shouldn't be changing the oil at 5k anyway, just tire rotation and inspection

I live 7 miles from seaside hieghts new jersey. no power for 6 days but my trusty pip has kept my food and a light on for me. rigged up 1200 watts off my roof 80 amps at 12 volts when and if the sun stays out it helps alot. All i gata say is thank god i rigged my car with those batteries cause gas, food, elecric and the police are impossible to get. I did prepare sum by getting diesel and had a diesel generator. 4800 watts dont go far. wish me luck they say another few days for power.

How fast do you consider fast . . . . 50kW? .... 25kW? Do you think Toyotas BMS could handle the kind of heat generated by even the lower number?
I'm guessing that's a pretty close guess for parasitic loss. My attempts at a measurement seem to show between 250-275 watts.

I guess I don't get it ... what was the point in resurrecting this zombie thread. Enginer built a somewhat average kit for the Prius and the business still failed. That says volumes ... or at least it should
