    My boys (6 & 8 at the time) named it 'Second Place' because it is silver. I tried to get them to come up with a better name. I call it 'Sparky'.

    I have never named a car before other than referring to it by its model name.

    With the prius, things have changed. My daughter issued a decree...the prius is now Dear Prudence.

    I named mine Violet after Violet Beauregarde from the old Willy Wonka movie. Being Spectra Blue Mica, it's about the same color as Violet became when she turned into a giant blueberry. :)

    We also sometimes call it the Pious or Pope Pious VIII (since it is an '08).
