No, Spanish is not a language I've had much exposure to. You don't have a 'HYO' licence plate too, do you? I tried to make up for a rather uninspired name with an obscure plate.
My 2005 was named "Jane" after Jane Jetson. My 2012 is named "Rosie" after the Jetson's maid. This car just seemed to have more attitude.
No official name yet, but if (when?) I convert it into a PHEV, I'll probably name it after Allie Moore, an environmentalist I know very well. After all, Allie Moore Prius (AMP) makes a great pun.
Resurrecting an old discussion thread, but I've been pondering this very thought since before my purchase. I've had the car four days and haven't completely settled on a name yet. I'm leaning toward Ginny Sparks, but I haven't fully decided if my car is a he or a she (that sounded weird in my head, writing it down didn't make it sound any more sane).
My son's 1994 Corolla was nicknamed The Ripper because he tore around in that car. My former Ford Explorer was The Exploder... My F250 diesel truck is Diesel Girl... It's a brave new world when machines can go both genders! I am old school there... Right now my 2012 Prius is just "the Spaceship from Planet Zok"', nicknamed by my brother who was fascinated by the stealth mode... But as two friends noted, with that color (Seaglass Pearl), "that is such a girl car!"
Big Red. I usually don't name cars. My track car, a Spark Silver STi, is named.... ta daa.... "Silver". because it's one fast pony.
Mine, a silver pine mica, is named Phyllis. 1. Phyllis means green foliage. Green colored car, "Green" car. 2. The prius is kinda different looking like Phyllis Diller. 3. You get the double play with the name right?
I wanted Kate, and my wife calls it "v," so therefore: Kate v. The name Kate, honestly, came to me as I woke up one morning, thinking of the first two seasons of NCIS.
Saw a Prius vanity license plate the other day that would most likely get you a bar beatdown .. "Pri-Pri"
Haha ny_rob, I sometimes jokingly call my Prius "pri-pri" I dont have just one name for my NWH20. I call it my "Prenis" around my friends sometimes (LOL), or the "Pree-oose" (because theres this Russian? guy on youtube with a Prius video, and thats how he says it, and I think its hiliarious).
Beast I like saying out loud around my buddies, "let me just fire up the beast real quick"…….. I turn it on and…..Dead silence and everyone chuckles.. Then the ice kicks in in 10 or so seconds…lol! Not sure if thats the name I'm gonna go with but it works good for a laugh..
My Mrs calls it "Paul the Prius", because Paul is a boring name and the Prius is boring! lol "when I met you , you used to be into cars ....... what happened?" .....
