Does Route Elevation Profile Make a Huge Difference?

    while we're all busy playing with forum software, i think this was the main point :)
    btw, i can't believe that site has BYD vehicles but not the PiP. someone should really tell the site authors to fix that.

    I don't consider 11% slopes to be 'glide' territory. That is more 'don't get caught between a runaway truck and the truck escape ramp' territory. I usually glide on slopes under 3%, and am actively doing something to retard speed on anything steeper.

    I don't think there are many long straight 11% slopes that you could glide on are there? :p

    The hill is tackle each day is steep for a freeway but nowhere near 11%. I guess I assume people exaggerate the grade percentage.
