Just got a call from junkyard...... complete pump and master cylinder off a 2013 v supposedly 31,000 miles.... $375.00
I already bought a pump and master off a prius 77,000 miles $212...... I can send the fist order back but really wanted to see if the pump would work..
Todays call only sells them together......

Sounds like a winner. Be sure to document the install.

Really tempted to try the pump out off the prius just to see....... but I would hate to screw anything up.....
I wouldn't be surprised if there ended up being a recall on this...but not going to hold my breath....

Looks like Lexus CT200 2011 to 2016 might be the same equipment. Or at least that what the salvage yard told me.

Doing more checking...they are different part numbers as far as I can tell..... what a pain in the v.

That’s correct, at least for the 47070-12020 assembly, which is also used on the Lexus CT 200h and NX 300h, and on several Toyota models in Japan, Europe, and other countries.

Ok so according to lkq and another yard it’s the same. For Prius V they used 12020 as well as other cars Lexus etc.

On the normal Prius it was the other part number. But they do interchange.

I was able to find the accumulator (2 round cylinder things for easy identification) the actual pump I guess. For $125 which is what I needed. Prior to me buying this car the owner changed out the master cylinder twice and couldn’t get the issue to fix. Lol well worked out in my favor price wise. Got a smoking deal. 2012 with 115k for $2000. Only issues were battery and the abs and could use a detail but I use it as my daily which has my tools etc. Both easy peasy for me. I like doing the abs pump on the 3rd gen compared to the 2nd. 2nd gen is a pain in the nice person.

Gonna hopefully do this pump this upcoming weekend.

I think the question was about parts compatibility with other gen 3 cars, not where one might buy it. By the way, it appears Toyota has an extended warranty on the 2011-15 standard gen 3 brake booster/abs/master cylinder/ecu system but not on the similar gen 3 v parts. We now know that the Prius v parts are different and Tim has now obtained the correct used components with the integrated brake ecu. The next question may be has anyone documented the process, which is different than the gen 2? There is a factory step by step for a standard 2010 that calls out special one off tools to assist in the very tight and buried location.

These are supposed to be factory only tools and I guess the dealers are supposed to return them after use too since they are in limited supply? Lol how stupid.
Anyways I’ve never needed the tools. If you know what you are doing you don’t need it. Don’t know how you would get such a factory only tool. And I’m not the only person who’s changed these abs units.

Anyone have these instructions for a 2012 Prius V brake actuator replacement. Not trying to pay $3500 to get it fixed as was quoted by my dealership.

It's online but remember you have to use the master cylinder and pump off a v or a lexus 200.
And you will need Toyota Techstream for the bleeding process.

    Another reason I tell people don't purchase a used Gen 3 especially a v.

The attached writeup is for the 2010 standard Prius. The parts are for a 2012 Prius v wagon. Be careful, many used sellers think all gen3s are the same. You need parts specifically for a Prius v of your year (maybe one or two other years and certain Lexus models).

@ChapmanF is very knowledgeable about such third gen brake issues. For starters he's probably the only person here who can keep the component names straight lol.

For the love of Pete, anybody who isn't pretending it's hard can keep them straight after it's been explained once...

How come they don't have a rebuild kit for these problems yet??
