My next door neighbor used to send her daughter over to my lawn (this was back when I had a lawn) with both of their dogs, so they could do their business here, instead of on her property!

I finally confronted the daughter, caught in the act, and she said (very arrogantly, I might add), "Don't worry, I always clean it up."

    ?????????

I'll leave y'all to imagine where the conversation went from there.

If a neighbor is intentionally letting his dog do his duty in my yard, that's one thing, but I couldn't care less if a dog craps in my yard. I, personally, think it's sad that people have to walk around with bags and pick up animal crap just because your walking your dog. It's an animal and it has to do its business. I'm sure I'll hear it, but that's what I think. It would be funny if people who had horses had to pick up after them. That would be a good size baggy. :p

"No, you don't. Which is why I'm out here talking to you personally about it. And I'm going to stand here and watch you clean it up. And if I come out here and find your dog's poop on my lawn ever again, I'm going to bag it up, put it on your front porch and set it on fire.

Now you tell your mother she is no longer allowed up use my private property as her dog's latrine. This is the only time I'll tell you. The next time it will be the police knocking on your front door serving papers from my lawyer."

We have had my dog for close to 17 years now (God bless him) and ever since DAY 1, I have ALWAYS cleaned up any "poop" after him and removed it from the grass, sidewalk, wherever it ended up. I actually carry a children's plastic beach shovel, the larger one about 3 feet long, and this is the greatest "pooper scooper" I have found. It's spade like design will pick up any poop from any surface.
As far as "pee".... I am thoughtful enough to NOT have our dog pee on people's lawns, flowers, lawn ornaments, etc. I try to keep it in the gutter area (Florida residential areas have no real curbs, just water channels) so it evaporates.

With all this said, I see, almost every day, MANY people going out WITHOUT plastic bags, pooper scoopers, nothing...... letting their dogs crap and pee right on resident's nice grass, in their yards, then just walk away and leave it there and casually return to THEIR homes 5 or 6 houses away. It truly amazes me just how piggish and inconsiderate MANY dog owners really are when it comes to property of others.

My hats off to all those that DO "pick-up" and dispose their dog droppings, especially if it be in their own yard. How many times has any of us been walking down a residential street (with no sidewalks) and stepped into a pile of crap ?? Worse off, ever get dog crap smeared all over the wheel of your lawn mower ?? YUCK !!

Carry a plastic bag when walking a dog and keep cats inside your home after dark.

I never get dog poo on my lawn because I have a rather dense growth of native plants in front of my lawn. If dogs poo between the trees I don't really care.
