DIY JDM style side mirrors combo lights (Signal+Parking+Courtesy lights)

Hi all, I am coming in a bit late - I'd like to get a pair of these mirrors as well. I read the first couple of pages of this thread then jumped to end (to see the good stuff of course) and missed the link to purchase a pair.

Can someone please direct me to the link?

But you want to read thru the whole thing. There is so much information to help you get it done correctly the first time.

 

That's where I got mine! Don't forget to tell them the paint code color in the message to seller area.

I'm still waiting for mine to get there...it's been at the post office with a status of "status not updated" since Friday...=/ I'm not too worried though as the ETA was suppose to be mid May.

 

I had found them on eBay as well I just wasn't sure if someone was using a particular seller?

I just installed these last weekend. I'm a little disappointed with how dim the LEDs are. Has that been anyone else's experience?

Yup...I wish they were brighter but I still like 'em.

I recall reading this thread a couple of years ago when I had Prius 2010 (II) I have Prius 2014 (II) now and I can't seem to locate a knowledgeable installer to a) replace stock side mirrors with the JDM version and b) replace stock steering wheel with the JDM version. I had the same mods done on Prius 2010 though I drove to LA where Tommy put everything together. I could make the same trip but I wonder if there is a place in SF Bay Area.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

The install is not that hard.. Just doing the puddle light takes some effort ..but atleast most of work is written out for you

Hi there. I have everything I need to start this mod, including the LED turn signals for behind the mirror glass. As a wiring noob, this thread has been immensely helpful. So...thanks to all who have contributed. I have my wiring locations all mapped out except for the LED turn signal arrows pictured above. Can you shed any light on where you connected this, or what kind of source the two wires on each arrow should be connected to? Thanks in advance.

 

I wish I had a good answer. I did the install over a year ago, and I can't honestly remember. I believe they were wired to the LED mirror lights, but not sure. There are several good YouTube videos that will help with removing the back off the mirrors so you can install the arrow LED lights. They might answer the wiring of the arrow LEDs. Good luck.

 

Assuming that the 2 wires on the glass LEDs are red & black, u can tap the same colored wires from the 3in1 signals during it install.
