Discounted Toyota Prius Extended Warranty /Service Contracts

Just purchased an 8/125K for 1075.I purchased prius in June and I wasn't going to purchase one. But late this summer I realized the extra 25 k made sense to me after my Camry started having serious problems around 110k and 10 years. So we will see. I think 8/125k makes some sense in purchasing now.

 

Who did you buy that from. If it was platinum I want one also.

Ditto! But I think that price is a mistake or for a non-Toyota plan.

 

It appears now that the dealership says it was for a 8/yr100k, even though I have an email from them that clearly states 8/yr125K While I don't want to accuse anyone of bait and switch, and I certainly don't want to name the dealership yet, I do have an email with a price quote of 8yr/125k for 1075. Hope we can figure this out

 

Unless you are purchasing it through PriusChat (which you're not), it's irrelevant to this thread anyway. The only reason I chimed in was because that price was clearly an error.

Please keep in mind that a percentage on all of the sales generated here goes back to PriusChat to help support these forums.

 

END OF STORY. Dealership admitted it was a mistake and I accepted that it was. They then offered me an 8yr/125k for $1275 which I accepted. I think these folks are decent and good people who made a mistake and who are willing to accept the consequences and back it up.

 

The site does not seem to work. Does anybody tried to contact these guys ?

At any rate, I bought a 2013 pip basic and I would like to get details from you on the extended warranty program. The local dealership is placing their product as a platinum coverage. I understand that you have an indentical product. Can you provide some information on this.

I just wanted to add my thanks to Troy. I purchased the 7/125K Platinum from him for my 2012 a couple of months ago (I'm a little slow posting here). Troy was very responsive to my questions, gave me a great deal (much better than the dealer, who said they were discounting off retail), and delivered overall great service. I was able to get a longer warranty for less money. Thanks!

If you read a little further, you'll see that it was a mistake. The person that posted it didn't get that price either.

I got you all beat. I got a 8 yr/100,000 Platinum warranty for $2986. When I cancel this, does the money come back to me, or to Toyota Financial to be applied against the new loan? If it comes back to me....sweet. My interest rate was 0%. As I just did the deal yesterday, how long should I wait till I call and cancel?

I just sent you a reply. If your current agreement was financed the refund will be applied as a credit towards your loan balance.

Besides the site not working, when I tried visiting it, I got an alert from Norton Antivirus (360) of "Web attack: Mass Injection Website". If the site can't be fixed, can it at least be scrubbed or taken down completely?

Sorry, about that....Danny Cooper has all of the administrative rights to it. I'm not sure why you're getting that Norton security error. As far as I know, the site was taken down completely.

Recently purchased a 2013 Prius C Model 2. When I was in the finance department, I was offered the extended warranty. I said "no" because I thought $2500 was just too much for me at the moment. I asked if I could buy it later on towards the end of the provided warranty and he said no. Then he said that it was a slow day and would lower it to $2000 ($200 deposit and $100/month for 18 months). I ended up purchasing the extended warranty. The next day after reading through this forum, I realized I had been taken for a fool. Went today, cancelled it, and was refunded the $200 deposit.

I absolutely love this forum for all the great tips. Now I need to contact Troy.
