My daughter is looking at a 2010 Prius IV that is still under warranty. Would she be eligible to purchase the extended warranty from Troy or is this for original owners only?

Sure, it doesn't make any difference if you're the original owner or not. As long as it's still within the original 3 yr / 36K factory warranty we're good.

I just bought a new 2012 Prius Model IV, does this deal on the extended warranty apply to the 2012 models?

Long story, here it goes. I apologize but your reputation is amazing on this forum

I just bought a certified 2010 Toyota Prius v with ATP so I figured I had to get the platinum coverage. I fought 2 hours with a kid my age who was the store manager, or so he claimed and he was a snake.
My cars rim had a 6 inch scratch so I figured I'd negotiate platinum coverage at low price for it. I was being charged $3200.00 for 7/100k I wanted 5/125k but he refused to offer it to me
My buddy works at Toyota and told me not to pay more than 1300 but I really liked the car and didn't want to put money up front to get it at another dealer. After 2 hours he agreed to 1500 for 5/100k so I financed the 1500.
I took the car home and the back seats mats were missing ive called 3x and they have yet to send them to me. I live 200 miles from the dealer so I cannot go.
This is inexcusable for a certified Toyota vehicle
My questions is: can I request for brand new all weather mats along with seat covers for this outrageous lie and hassle they made me go through? I need to buy them anyway and since they're customer service has been very poor I want to get something out of it?
If they don't do anything I would cancel and put the upfront money with you. What do you think??

Again I apologize but I am frustrated
BTW this was at Folsom Lake Toyota near Sacramento. Nice salesman, terrible managers

    Hi Barcagp,

Unfortunately, having Floor Mats isn't a requirement for Certification with Toyota. If they're equipped, they need to be clean and stain free. My guess is that they were removed to be cleaned, and just never found their way back to the car. So anything they do for you regarding this would simply be a courtesy on the dealers part. Unless you have something from them in writing stating that the car was to be sold with them.

If I were you, I'd call the salesman with whom you seem to have a good relationship and see if he can track them down for you. They're probably just sitting there back in the detailing area of the shop.

Regarding the warranty, send me an email or PM. I'd be happy to get you a quote and go over your options in detail....regardless of what happens with your floor mat situation. I can save you a lot of money on it compared to what you paid. (assuming your car has less than 36K on it).

WarrantyShack is just a webpage with a form for requesting price quotes. Since I pay PriusChat a percentage on each sale I get from here, this allows me to track the requests coming from PriusChat members. Ultimately the policy is sold by me here at Toyota of Greenfield...and the policy itself is the same as you would get from any other Toyota dealer.

    Any deals for Canadians?

Sorry if this was discussed earlier in this thread, but I can't search within a topic on my iPhone (? app).

    Thanks!

    Hi Vic,

Pricing is the same for all variations of the Prius (Prius, Prius v, Prius c, and the Plug-In). Shoot me an email at the address in my signature or fill out the request at WarrantyShack (see the first post in this thread) for a detailed quote.

    Thanks!

    Hi Troy,

My wife and I just purchased a 2012 Prius II a few nights ago. The finance guy specifically told us that we had 60 days to cancel (Toyota Extra Care Platinum) and that if we cancelled within the first 60 days, the payment would go back to what it was without the coverage. Is this not true?

    Thanks for any information.

No, the only way your car payment can change is if they re-do the finance contract. I don't believe that's possible 60 days in. Once the contract is booked and the dealers been funded for it there's no going back. That loan would have to be paid off in full and then refinanced.
