As we're seeing here apparently Chryslers have the feature where the lights come on when the wipers come on. Glad to hear someone else does! I don't know if Cadillacs still have that feature, his was a '95.

He also used to have a Lincoln Continental with automatic high beams. Now THAT was a disaster. I've seen the feature pop back up in some high end cars lately, hopefully the technology has improved since 1990!

What year was your Pontiac? The only car I've ever had that did not have auto lights is the Prius, and every one has had a system that worked great. I think perhaps the sensitivity setting on your Pontiac was set a little too high.
