DICE Prius iPod Integration Unit now works for the 2006!

You won't have a problem. The DICE kit has a pass-through so you can plug in the XM kit behind it.

 

To those who are experiencing a 'Pausing' problem with the new iPod Classic or 3rd gen Nano:

Apple released a new firmware that addresses this problem. Update your iPod's and please let me know what happens.

 

DICE Question

I have a 2005 Prius without the JBL system and a 80 Gb Ipod Classic. I purchased and installed the DICE Unit. With the Ipod Classic, am I correct in noticing that I have two options:

1: I can either control the Ipod through the MFD and steering wheel controls and see the text on the MFD, but I cannot control the Ipod through the Ipod (The Ipod says that it is connected to an accessory). The controls through the MFD and steering wheel advance songs and playlists, but it is not easy to find a song...

2: I can control the Ipod through the Ipod and steering wheel controls,but I do not have the text displayed on the MFD.


If I had a previous Ipod (before the Classic) would I be able to see the text on the screen, control the Ipod through the MFD and steering wheel controls, and control the Ipod through the Ipod??

Yup! The Classic will remain locked, but the previous generations will not.

Received the new DICE, thank you! However, there is no RMA information in the box. Only an invoice. What's my next step please?

Question: I have the Nano (1st gen) with firmware 1.3. I see that 1.3.1 is now available. Should I update? Have there been any issues with 1.3.1?

Now to play with the DICE again.

If you have the 1st gen, what you have now shouldn't cause any problems.
