    Speaking from experience, my car took about 12 working days to be processed through the LB port. Once the car arrives from Japan it should show in F status until it is processed and whatever port installed options are added (floormats in my case). Don't be surprised if it sits at the port for a while. The dealers have no control over port processing.

    Dianne, With all the cars you have delivered, have you put your car's explanation on a DVD and send the owners into a room to just played it back !!!

    It's like the waitress repeating Today's Specials, instead of just letting us read the list.

    12 working days???? :eek: My car arrived at LB port last Monday and I've been waiting and waiting to take delivery. I truly hope I don't have to wait that long.

    Mine took a week to get to Dianne. Just want to take the time to thank Dianne and Nathan for a great buying experience.

    Looks like I'm on pace to get 550 miles out of my first tank.

    Mine took only a week from arrival at Long Beach (2/28) to delivery to me (3/6), including leather installation. But it was also on the second ship to hit port, I believe, so as more ships arrived it probably created a backlog in the processing and delivery to dealers.

    INDIANA HIGHWAY is about an hour or so from reaching Benicia. It should be at
    Long Beach on Wed (Mar 28th).

    My update for this day, this week!

    I expect to see the following cars this week. Some earlier in the week, some very late this week/end.

    45, 902, 728, 1495, 329, 88, 1069, 1045, 124, 774, 225, 745, 209, 65, 138, 211, 72, 395, 479

    I know I have played musical chairs with a few cars (leapfrogged everyone involved forward into a sooner car after a cancellation) so to some of you, these #'s won't mean anything but you know how to reach me to determine if you're in there! Leapfrogging was contained to winter gray base model ONLY. No other combination involved!

    By the way, with the other ship at PORT on 3/25, there could also be other cars here by this weekend but after the delays from last week, no promises in that YET!

    Soon, Grasshopper. Soon. I swapped off my car to a very lovely MD with a horrible commute and a busy on-call schedule for ER. Since I really can work magic with my hours right now, it felt like the right thing to do. Now, I am awaiting HER car's arrival - our cars were identical. Like I said, it just felt like the right thing to do.

    I am living vicariously thru you all! And, learning a bunch too.

    Diane- are there any cancelled PIP's available for purchase at your dealership? I did not pre-order and am regretting it now. Do you think there will be any available before all the green stickers are gone?

    You don't have to worry about getting a green sticker. Toyota and GM will not produce enough PiPs and Volts this year (or next) to come close to the 40K stickers that will be available.

    Awesome! So the perceived rush with trying to get stickers is more about getting them sooner to ride in the HOV lane, and not fear that they won't be available? So, I can wait till the PIP comes out later this year?

    Sooner for the Carpool lane is always better. Problem will be the lack of inventory for the PIP- they are not producing a lot.....costs money.....expensive car to produce...therefore harder to obtain one...
