Dealership didn’t rotate my tires!?

Just goes to prove: One size does NOT fit all.

Have you ever encountered a total loss of traction on the front wheels only ??

I actually do agree with the general advice, given that:
Most drivers have never experienced an uncontrolled skid of any kind....and it is more likely for them to have the back to slide out.

Should you ever hydroplane the fronts going around a curve at 70 MPH, the result likely will be MUCH worse than sliding out the rear.

Done.

 

Well Sam, if it helps - I'm one that puts the best tires on the front as well.

 

I rest my case! Really, it doesn't bother me too much where folks put their newest tyres. I just feel bad for the innocent victims caught up in their dramatic crashes, however unusual they may be. Those who drive to the limit of their (assumed excellent) skill and knowledge are the ones most likely to exceed their limits at the worst possible moment.

 

For what it's worth I haven't had to do it in years - because I rotate my tires.

 

Regards rotating tyres, don't the tyres rotate when you're driving ?

 

No, that's just the wheels you see spinning round.
